About

A community for
everyone.

Victory is a community for everyone, no matter where you are on your spiritual path. We’re about authentic worship, relevant teaching, real friendships, and making a difference. We’re not a building — we’re people on a journey together, exploring faith and serving our community. Join us for coffee, conversation, and a chance to connect.

Hey there! Welcome to Victory Church of Penticton.

I’m so glad you’re here, whether it’s your first time or you’ve been with us for years. Your presence is truly a blessing, and we’re thrilled to have you as part of our community.

We hope you’re feeling the love and joy that comes from God as we journey together in faith. We’re grateful for you and can’t wait to see how God will work through all of us.

The blueprint

INVITE.CONNECT.GROW.

Three words, and everything we do has to fit one of them. That’s deliberate: too much activity and programming diminishes purpose, growth and energy.

If it doesn’t fit, we don’t do it.

01Vision

What could be.

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
Psalm 37:4–6

Vision inspires what could be, fuelling passion for the expansion and purpose of God’s kingdom — individually and corporately.

Reach
Reaching every available person, by every available means, at every available time.
Teach
Developing mature believers through discipleship.
Mobilize
Expanding God's Kingdom by reproducing church-planting churches, new organizations, new business, new individual goals and local church growth.

All people matter — rich and poor, young and old, friend and foe, every culture and race. Like a fisherman using all shapes, sizes and colours to catch different species, the hook is always the same.

Methods change, but not the message.

Our mission is 24/7, not Sunday only. It is our way of life.

02Mission

One person at a time.

Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:19–20

The sheer vastness of mission can paralyse people from walking out the great commission, so it has to be brought down to an individual level. It starts with a relationship — the people God puts in our path of influence — developed through friendship, prayer, spiritual conversation and respectful dialogue.

The one, one, one principle

One person. One disciple. One year.
Then mobilize, and repeat.

More than one may happen, depending on capacity. But the goal was never mass conversion — it’s disciples of Christ.

An expression of love, not duty. People matter, not numbers.

And our mission is to make disciples of Jesus — not of a denomination, of ourselves, of our opinions or of our spiritual preferences.

03Blueprint

What keeps it on course.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16–17

Invite, Connect, Grow requires leaders, training and implementation. Prayer sets the guidelines, but until a point leader catches the vision, trains and models the mission, the blueprint lies dormant.

Mission is birthed by vision. The blueprint keeps the mission on course.

04Model

Making it repeatable.

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
1 Timothy 4:12

The blueprint houses mission and vision, clear and simple — which is what makes modelling it repeatable.

Invite
Invite all people to a relationship with Jesus Christ. The best way to overcome fear, develop spiritual strength, inspire passion and live on purpose is to continually model invite — leading by example, stepping through fear, apathy and comfort.
Connect
Foster genuine relationships within our community, centered around the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. The best way for people to stay connected and mature spiritually is to model connect relationally — through commitment to Sunday, midweek connect groups and special events.
Grow
Empowering people to fulfill their God-given purpose.Spiritual growth takes modelling in daily reading, study and application of scripture, which enables us to overcome selfishness, apathy, fear, loneliness and insecurity. Serving the local church and community is the greatest catalyst for discovering destiny, purpose and maturity.

We meet in a cinema.

No building, no steeple, no car park of our own. On Sunday morning we set up in Landmark Cinema, Theater 4 and afterwards we pack it away again.

It sounds like a compromise. It mostly isn’t. It means the money goes to people instead of a mortgage, and it means anyone who would feel out of place in a church building can walk into somewhere they’ve already been a hundred times.

The seats also recline, which is more than most churches can offer.
